i can not install on the PC for the second time the fs2020 from the DVDs

Hello there!

I have installed al of the 10 dvds abd when i put in dvd nr one snd start fs2020 I have to put in the Registration nr and but then uts written ”it id already used” (something like that. its not on the dvd:s. Last time I reinstall Windows 10 I had to start Windows store and start Fs2020 from there becouse the Registration nr is stored in the store someway where its says I own FS2020 i library. But when I change my hardwear and update Windows to 11 I dont own the FS2020 in library and can nit use the dvd for the installation, becouse after the installing i have to write the Registration number.

So the dvd:s work for the installing but i cant start the fs2020.

thank you for the reply. I also did some google search and apparently there seems quite some problems with the DVDs. I tried a reinstall but then I got the same error on disk 4 this time which indicated to me that or the DVD-reader or the read-process gets interrupted.

I then copied all DVDs to a temporary folder on my hard, which worked fine, and installed from there without any problem. Unfortunately your reply is totally correct. When starting up FS2020 after installation from the DVDs it requires an update of 120 GB, so better not to waste time with the DVD installation and do the installation directly from Microsoft.

And I am uninstalling FS2020, chalking up both purchases (XBox/Win10 version from Amazon and DVD version from a flight shop) totaling over $250, plus my $2000 lost work time as a complete loss except that I learned that FS2020 may be a good game but is not an appropriate training tool. I cannot waste any more time with this. I have purchased XPlane 11 and will stick to that. No more MS games for me...ever. This has been horrible, and I cannot waste any more time with it.

Discs in DVD players spin at 1x, and they generally not on nearly as much as a Xbox console, unless you're watching one film after another all day.



PC DVD drives don't fail as much because once software is installed on to the computer, the DVD drive no longer utilised. The same goes for PC games. Even when PC games are installed, the disc is only read for verification. Many PC games don't even require
the DVD to inserted once they are installed as they use various types of DRM for protection. They last longer because they aren't running at 12x speed for hours on end.



PC DVD drives can still fail though, believe me, I repair PCs and I've replaced a fair few.



If you install your 360 games you can extend the life your consoles DVD drive immensely.
