I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you, I did an internal search in Microsoft support and I found a publication where it mentions some steps to solve this problem and I thought it was good information, which you should take into account:

Fix sign-in issues in the Xbox app

On your PC, go to Xbox.com and select Sign in. If there are problems with your account, the instructions will help you resolve them. If you can't get past the login screen, select I forgot my password and follow the instructions.

If that doesn't work, select the Home button > Settings > Time & Language. Under Date & time, make sure Set time automatically is turned on.

If none of these options work, select the Start button > Settings > Accounts, then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Next, go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.

If for some reason it doesn't work for you, you can try the following methods published on the Microsoft forum by Dante Martino, independent advisor:

Make sure Xbox services are not disabled or stopped:

1. Press the Windows+R keys

2. In the Open box type "services.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter

3. Locate these Xbox services:

- Xbox Live Auth Manager

- Xbox Live Game Save

- Xbox Live Networking Service

They must be on Automatic and must be started. If they are not Automatic, modify them.

The Xbox application opens fine, without problems, but when you try to log in to your account, that gray window remains?

Try resetting the app's temporary files and login information.

1. Press Windows + E keys

2. In the top bar of File Explorer copy the following path:
