I can hear static in my headphones

I just bought brand new headphones and realised that whenever I use this with batteries in my controller it makes this obnoxious static noise. How can I fix this problem?

So first thing I would try is testing the headphones on a different controller.

I have had a few controllers get similar issues over the years.

It's also worth making sure your controller is is to date.

If it does the same on both controllers I'd would say it's either a headset fault. It does seem odd that it happens when batteries are inserted as usually it can happens when hard wired due to what I was told is called "dirty energy"

I would like help with this same issue as well! when i plug in my headphones to the controller i hear the static of the headset being on but i can’t hear any audio from the xbox at all!

I have the afterglow headset when I try to plug my headphones up to chat I hear no sound I can hear myself but my friends can hear my sound

The problem is not my headphones because I can hear people perfectly fine.

lol, this is gunna depend on what you want, in the UK there is a shop called maplins which sell a good range of cables, the people in there would recommend something.

One option would be, get the cable in the link about, then get the cable in the link below, put the HDMI in the XO, the video in the tv, the sound in the link below and the headset in the other end of the link below:

I am not going to say this will end up with high quality sound, but it should work to some degree.
