I bought today my xbox one x and he fails on the update

Hi, yes we have done numerous reinstalls and resets. We went back to game where we bought the disk today. The game downloaded fine on their machine (not an x) They felt the issue was with the update to the Series X. The game still cannot be played on my sons xbox X. It installs but then asks for an immediate update which will not complete. What else can we do to resolve this?

We are having exact same issue with the game using a Series X. My son has tried everything and update starts for 5 seconds, then fails. Just bought the game at Christmas (on disc).

Someone please fix this issue.

So i contacted the retailer where i bought the xbox one X and the were able to help me with the process regarding the microsoft support and sending my xbox one x back to microsoft. So i got the message today that the xbox is on its way to microsoft to get
it checked. I will update this question on the forum when i got an answer from microsoft what it might could be what is wrong with my xbox

I've just bought the Xbox One X and retired my original Xbox One to the bedroom. I will probably do the same in a few years with the X Series.

Having purchased a day one Xbox One, it took time and numerous dashboard updates to become the experience it is today, so I'll wait a while before getting the X Series, but I'm looking forward at some point to play my original xbox games when they become
compatible (GTA 3 and Vice City).

This is more than likely the power brick has failed. Same thing happened to my x360 and the reason I updated to Xbox one X. Time to update to a new console I suggest.

Either the next gen Series S/X models or XBox one S/X.

You won't look back, but will wonder why you didn't update earlier.
