Check if the version you bought is the Series X|S version. If it's not then that maybe the cause of your problems. You'll need to get Series X|S version.

So you bought an Xbox One X and expected to be able to play an Xbox Series X game on it?

Why would a game made for an Xbox Series X work on an Xbox One X?

If you want to play Xbox Series X/S games I would take your brand new Xbox One X back to the store you bought it and see if they will take it back and you could try and buy an Xbox Series S (Series X consoles are very hard to find, but a Series S can be found fairly easilly)

I bought an Xbox Series S as a dedicated Dev box and emulator. All my games are on the SSD. Since the patch, I can't play anything. I check every day for an update but there is none. It's frustrating. It negates the whole reason I bought a series S. I play my Series X for my retail games. There have been other patches on my series X and XB1 but none for Series S. Haven't seen any talk about this issue anywhere except this thread. I wonder how much attention this is really getting.

I bought NBA 2k23 on my Xbox One S I want to buy a Xbox Series S but can I still play 2k23 without buying it again?
