I bought minecraft from Microsoft but I can't migrate

The cape is only given to people who had a Mojang account and migrated to a Microsoft account. If you did, you can sign in to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile/skin and select the cape from there.

If you never had a Mojang account and did not migrate to a Microsoft account (meaning you always had only a Microsoft account), unfortunately you will not be able to redeem the cape. I'm sorry about that.

Looks like the server you are trying to play needs you to confirm your account migration on their website. If you never had a Mojang account, please follow the steps:

- Head on over to https://link.hypixel.net/

- Follow the steps provided, which include signing in to your Microsoft account

- This is a one time process and your account is permanently marked as migrated. You do NOT need to link again.

If you had a Mojang account that migrated to a Microsoft account, please:

- Login to your Minecraft account at https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/profile/skin

- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the migrator cape

- Next time you login to the server and while in a lobby, the cape should be detected and your account will be marked as migrated.

- Once you receive confirmation you no longer need to wear the cape, this is a one time process.

If you already have a Microsoft account with Minecraft you don't need to migrate it to play on any server. The migration process transfer your Mojang account information to a Microsoft account. If you already have a Microsoft account with Minecraft there's no migration needed or even possible.

What exact error message do you receive when trying to play a server asking you for migration? Can you share a screenshot of it?
