I bought Java and Bedrock edition together but I cannot play Java

As blueamcat has mentioned you cannot crossplay from Java to bedrock editions. Unfortunately Java is the only available version for Mac and linux users. Bedrock is the version that is the play together version which will cross platforms. Windows 10 edition,
Pocket Edition, and console version all run bedrock.

Same thing happend to me but i bought the Minecraft java and bedrock sold together but it still says i need to buy Minecraft Java Edition

Thank you for responding and for the added details. It could be possible that you have purchased the game on a different account which is why it is not showing in your Order history, or you may have used a game code to acquire the license of the game.

To fix the issue, we highly suggest contacting Xbox Live Support or Mojang Support so they can help you locate the correct account where the game license is attached.

Thanks for responding. To answer your questions,

1. I bought it on the Microsoft store,

2. I purchased the game on the 23rd of November 2023.

I am also confused as to why the app isn’t showing up in my order history on my account - I can’t apply for a refund due to this.

I have uninstalled both launchers and tried to reinstall them but this hasn’t worked either.

The order definitely went through as I got an email confirmation and the money came off my bank account.

We understand you are having issues with accessing the Minecraft Java edition that you purchased. No worries, I will do my best to help you sort this out.
Since the game is not showing in your Microsoft Order history, it could be possible that the purchase didn't go through. Normally, it would take 24hours for the purchase to reflect in your order history, if the purchase did not reflect in your order history after 24hours this means that the purchase didn't go through and the charge you are seeing on your card will be refunded after 24hours.

To further isolate the issue, I would like to ask you a few questions:
1. May I know where did you purchase the game, is it from Microsoft Store or Mojang website?
2. May I also know when did you purchase the game and what troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?
