    I bought gamepass but it continues to tell me to renew it even though I have a subscription for it.

    Rainbow 6 Siege downloaded when it was free now asking for disk after it didn't need it before.

    Rainbow Six Siege was free to play for gold members only for a period of time. In the end of the said period you have to purchase the game in order to keep playing

    As stated in the xbox wire:

    What exactly did you buy? Because you mention Game Pass Gold which is not a thing. There's Game Pass, which is like Netflix for games, and then there's Gold, which allows you to play online multiplayer. There's also Game Pass Ultimate which is a combination of them.

    If you bought standard Game Pass, you would need Gold if you're trying to play online which is why it would ask for a subscription.

    Sorry, yes I do have gold and I prebought Rainbow Six Siege before I got gold. But it wont allow me to launch the app. I have the subscription for another three months.
