    I wanted to purchase coins in Sea of Thieves earlier today, but in game (I play on PC) it didn't let me and said it couldn't connect to the store. I restarted the game a few times to no avail. Finally, I just decided to buy them from the Windows Store. I clicked purchase on Win Store and it redirected me to the Xbox App. I was able to buy it through here, but after purchasing it, nothing shows up in game. I see that the purchase has been made on the Windows Store App, but it's not in my order history on the website at all. Support won't help either. Am I just out 35 bucks because of Microsoft's bad design? I don't even want a refund, I just want my stuff.

    When purchasing Bundles and Ancient Coin packs for Sea of Thieves, it is important that you purchase through the correct store for the platform in which you are playing. Otherwise you may not receive the items in which you have purchased!

    So this means that if you are playing on the Steam version of Sea of Thieves, then you must purchase your content through the Steam store. And likewise, if you are using the Microsoft Store or Xbox version of Sea of thieves, then you must purchase your content through the Microsoft Store.

    This is due to how your purchases are redeemed into your game. For example, purchases through the Steam Store are added to your Steam Inventory, which in-turn are 'consumed' into your game during the next boot flow with the item then being removed from your Steam Inventory (the Microsoft Store / Xbox versions are not able to process these purchases). Likewise with the Microsoft Store / Xbox Versions, purchases through the Microsoft Store are not added to your Steam Inventory and therefore cannot be 'Consumed' into the Steam version of the game.

    If you do mistakenly purchase Bundles or Ancient Coin packs on the incorrect platform store, please contact the following support channels for a refund.

    I'm sorry for that, Khalfan and according to Xbox support if it's completed on our order history and after 24 hours it's still not showing up reaching out to the game support will be the best option so they can check what happened with the in-game currency.

    Tried it but in the end they rejected my request because they can't refund when they don't know whether it was consumed or not.

    if they can't refund then atleast fix the issue for the in-game currency because I payed for something and I didn't receive it back.

    Literally the worst support I received until now.

    how do I request for a refund? because i can't seem to find step 2

    1. You can request a refund on your Xbox order history page.
    2. Select the relevant item and choose Request a refund.
    3. Provide the reasons for your request and select Next.
    4. If everything is correct, select Submit.
