Are you using a prepaid subscription card bought from a store? It may well not be activated and you would have to contact the seller to get the code activated.

If the vendor tells you that the card is activated and wont give you a new one you should call the support. They need the code of the receipt and the serial of the prepaid card to validate that the card was bought and activated. Then they should be able
to help you out.

i bought my xbox and received a 2 prepaid gold cards ad i redeemed the 6 month card i have the same problem as acetothekitten but those the prepaid gold cards count as a free membership? if so then why those the xbox come with a gold code??
