Can I combine two gift cards to have the mixed amount?

I was thinking of getting a game that coats $59.99 in my country. So I decided to get a $60 Xbox gift card, but I realised that my country only sells $20, $50, and $100 gift cards, so I decided to get a $50 and $20 gift card.

But before I bought them, I wonder if you can combine the value together? I don't want to waste $70 realising I can't combine the values.

Did you read the Xbox Support link that I showed you? If not then read this excerpt from it. This change came into effect in 2017, so if you do buy a Brazil only code, chances are that it will not be able to be redeemed on your Greek account.

Country-specific Gold subscription cards allow us to ensure that the Xbox Live Gold service reflects the local market economy in which the Xbox Live Gold subscription was purchased and redeemed.

The reason the card has to be unlocked is if a credit card expires on the account. Since XBL assumes your credit card is infinite, using prepaid cards with an expired card is not allowed. Don't ask me why. But it sound like you need to teach your kid the
value of money if he has spent 380 quid on FIFA. I have had 50 quid prepaid in my account since I bought Peggle, and 60 for almost a year before that.

I believe the price hikes are a result of:

a) The value of the US dollar is worth significantly higher than Latin American currencies (in your case, roughly $1 USD = R$3 BRL).

b) High import taxes/tariffs for video games (especially in Brazil).

c) With "a" and "b", indirectly prevents foreign consumers from purchasing the same products in Brazil for relatively cheaper.

If all of the above is true, then this is indeed Microsoft compensating for the high costs for selling in Latin American markets. South America (overall) and Mexico seems to be affected by the price increases, as far as I can tell.

You do still have the option of purchasing prepaid Gold cards to stack your subscription time while the prices haven't increased yet.

That's merely my speculation.

Also reselling it will incur an significant loss youbwill be lucky to get 50% of the value
