I bought a game, it will not download and is saying I need to purchase the game again

I recently bought the game Red Dead Redemption in the Microsoft store and when I went to start the game it is telling me to insert the disc, open the store, or I do not have the rights to the game. I deleted the game and went to redownload it again, but it is saying I will have to repurchase the game, so I basically wasted my money on a game I will not be able to play.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

We need to make sure that the game is successfully purchased under the account that you're using, please follow the steps below:

"Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Payment & billing > Order History"

Once confirmed kindly remove and re-add your account, Maxi:

" REMOVE ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

4. When you're finished, select Close.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

ADD ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

3. Enter the Email address and the password.

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console."

Yeah I know it should show up in ready to install from my games and apps that’s where I checked there first and it didn’t show up. The first time I checked when it didn’t show up I went to the xbox store and it said the game was only available for pc.
Then a few a months later I went back to check again and it was available for xbox but I had to purchase it again

If you haven't already, check the Ready to Install section of your Games and Apps to see if it shows there. Make sure you're signed into the account that purchased it.

If you still don't see it, you'll want to check your purchase history to make sure the purchase did go through. If it doesn't show in your purchase history, then it would have been

It should show up in you ready to install games , you wiuldnt have to go into the store for that as there are other versions of the game now. Also if you go to microsoft.com and sign in and look at purchase history you should be able to install it from
there as well
