    well I bought a xbox series x controller from Target and it worked for a couple of months then both triggers were not working. I tried to take it back to Target for replacement but they told me that I would have to contact Xbox support to get a replacement. I have done some trouble shooting and still can't get it to work. The other buttons all work and I have reset it but both triggers still don't work. I even tested it on the xbox acc app, the test showed the buttons ok but both triggers showed 100% and I wasn't even pressing the triggers. The other PowerA fusion pro controller I have i tried it and it works like its supposed to so that's why I believe that it has to be the controller. I just don't know what I need to do now. I don't think I should have to buy another one since I just bought this one Feb 14, 2024. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank You

    most retailers have a 14 day return policy,

    Microsoft controllers have a 90 day warranty which is also expired.

    Controller left trigger sticking

    I bought the Series X back in Feb. 2021 and I think the 3 month warranty has been passed (assuming it starts upon purchase). I have a "Microsoft Limited Warranty" that will expire on March 2022 but I'm not sure if that covers hardware. I did have a glimpse at the "out of warranty" repairs but did not see a controller listed except for the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 (I'm US territory).

    Expired game pass

    Bought a new unopened Xbox controller from target on January 29, 2024, and it came with a game pass. I tried to redeem the game pass today (April 28th, 2024) but found out the code expired on 12/31/23. Would it be possible to get a new code?
    No, in these instances its not possible to get a new code as far as i am aware. Sometimes that sort of thing just happens if its been sitting on a shelf for a while. Its unfortunate but it happens.

    Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam
