    I can not redeem a 12 month subscription xbox live gold membership

    I am trying to redeem a 12-month prepaid code for XBox One. I have also tried to purchase a 1-month subscription but receive the same error.

    Redeemed a prepaid code but didn't extend my original subscription

    I redeemed a 12-month gold membership prepaid code on Dec 2016, but my current gold subscription didn't get extended. Instead, the prepaid code added a new subscription to my account. So I have 2 subscriptions now, the original one expires on 6/23/2017,
    and the new added one expires on 12/3/2017.

    Why do they overlap, not stack???

    If you bought it from Xbox, the subscription is automatically added to your account. You're not given a code.

    Otherwise, you would need to contact the retailer you purchased it from for the code.

    There's not a 12 month subscription available. I've only seen 1 month subscription through Xbox, but there are 3-month prepaid codes available.

    If it was a 12 month prepaid card, then you don't have to pay for anything dor 12 months. If you bought the subscription theough Xbox, you can double check what subscription you purchased at http://commerce.microsoft.com and if you bought.
