I believe the pass key on my dead Xbox is preventing my from playing online on PC?

That's because Res Dead Online was removed from Game Pass. I believe you purchased the Story mode and without the Online, you won't be able to play it.

I’m pretty sure it is the pass key. Whenever I turn my console on and click on my profile to sign in I have to input my password. I was wondering if there was a way to disable this through the website or app. I didn’t know this passkey prevented remote play from being accessed.

Was that someone you know or was it changed by
Xbox Enforcement ? I believe you only get one free name change and after that you have to pay to change it to something else.

I would recommend you keep your account secure by creating a Pass key
to prevent something like this happening again.

It's play anywhere I believe so you should be able to play on both. I got it with game pass and have downloaded to PC and my Xbox One.

If my friend wanted to use my Game Pass on PC, they could easily employ the same workaround I've already described, the current implementation doesn't prevent sharing.

They should allow you to sign into the Xbox app with whatever account you want, and then limit the number of devices Game Pass can be logged into simultaneously.

Instead I'm stuck with their current implementation that prevents me from easily using it on my own PC.
