I believe my Vip star rank should be higher

I am only a star rank 1 which requires you to spend between $300 and $600 spent. but from my recollection I believe that I should be at least rank 4 maybe even rank 5 as I have been apart of Xbox live rewards since 2013 and I have nearly spent $200 on the
destiny franchise and I have spent much more than just that like Icon edition for Fifa 18 or COD WWII which if you add those together it nearly adds up to the total of my supposed VIP Rank. Hopefully, this is a mistake on my end of not reading the fine print
or something like that but if not can this get sorted out?

Xbox live rewards VIP star rank put back yet again

I received an email to check my VIP star rank on 5th Jan & cant believe it has been reset yet again.

I was 3 star VIP nearly 4 star last year and was reset back to 0% 3 star and now this has happened again this January when just coming up to 4 star rank. Not happy as for 2nd year I'm starting 3 star again 0%. This is a complete waste of time as spend money
to up my rank and you just go and put it back to 0%.

ok my issue is that on the my vip rewards im a master tier for my achievements almost overlord an i have not gotten any of my vip gems for any of the other tiers recruit,, contender, champion, legend, or master tier. i also have not gotten my star ranks
either. id like to know why i dont have any when it says i get myvip gems for ascending to higher tiers an the same for my star rank. please help me with this. also id like my achievements looked into, the xbox support guy said i should ask for that to be
done too.

 

Support will double check, but keep in mind that star levels are based on how much you spend each year, not your entire time on Live. So any progress you currently have would only be from January 1, 2017, until now. Subscriptions, in-game consumables, and
preorders do not count towards VIP.

What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

Since the majority of your purchases have been pre-orders or consumables, they are not eligible for MyVIP and do not award progress. Additionally as stated in the FAQ MyVIP has a recalibration every year. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP
rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015 and December 2016. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).
