    I pre-ordered The Elder Scrolls Online off of the Microsoft Store and applied a $10 gift card (earned from a previous purchase) to the order.

    I have had to cancel this order and was curious to whether or not I can get back the $10 associated with the Gift Card?

    I'm more so concerned with whether or not I can or not get back the $10 because Xbox support chat said I could but Microsoft Store said it's done and gone.

    How to cancel a complete preorder

    So my friend and I are trying to cancel a pre-order for Fallout 76. but it doesn't say a cancel button. It just says a complete order. So I was wondering if this means I can get a refund for my pre-order and I have to deal with having the game.

    Where did you go on xbox.com to pre-order digital version?

    Nevermind, figured it out. Now I can cancel pre-order with BestBuy and save $10, gas and time driving back and forth

    If it was done through the Microsoft Store you will have to continue trying to work with them to get it back. It would be up to their customer service.

    when you pre-order a game you are charged sometime within 10 days of release

    You can cancel your order and try ordering again, you're still in the pre-order window, so any bonuses should apply

    What’s up with me having to buy the game again and why cant I get a refund?

    It charged my card for the pre-order back in september. It took 105.99 dollars out of my bank account. My order was canceled as you said within 10 days. But i never got my money back. There is money i need to be refunded. I had to buy the game again. Spending over 210 dollars
    You are sure it was for this game and not another game? As stated previously if you pre-ordered using a credit/debit card or PayPal back in September then they would not have charged you in September. They would have only attempted to charge you within the last 10 days and if they could not charge you then the order would be cancelled.

    What does your order history for the pre-order show. Does it show "completed" or does it show "cancelled/declined".

    I'd go gamestop. Just had my Amazon order cancelled because they "oversold" the system. They said they'll investigate and get back to me within 48 hours. This makes 3 people that I know that have randomly had their pre-orders with Amazon canceled.
