I am wondering if I can save game progress without internet access

Without internet I can´t do a reset and save progress in the many games that are already on the console. Sigh.

Quick question about the cloud ...I understand what you are saying but I am wondering if game progress is also saved "backed up" on the console as well. In other words...If I am 50% through Ryse and one day my internet is down will I still have the progress
saved on the machine or will the game not be able to see my progress because it is not able to reach the cloud?

Why this confuses me is you can't really look at storage and see where the game install is saved separately than the game save data, setting, etc......

Yes, if the internet is down you can play offline and resume from where you left off. Offline gaming is not restricted. Apart from multiplayer obviously. Once the internet connection is back the cloud saves will sync up with the console updating game progress.

Of course the console can be used without gold. From 9th June all apps will be accessible without gold, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Gold will be required for multiplayer, plus Games for gold (2 free games a month) and VIP access to big game discounts 50% to 75%
off per month.

I was just wondering why you need to download the whole Xbox 360 game again though you've got the disc to install it.

If you're saying that you need permamently internet conncetion just to start/play and save games to the cloud why there is a xbox feature which you can play OFFLINE Games and save games locally at first place?

For my point of view it doesn't make any sense that you need "permanently" internet connection just to save current progress to the cloud.

And yes in Xbox 360 it's different because it has never asked me for internet question before I can start/play an offline game (disc or digital version) and I could save my current progress locally.

I'm not sure I stated the question right? I can save my Xbox one game progress/data to my Xbox one hard drive. The backwards compatibile games however require using the internet based "Cloud Storage" which I cannot access (due to lack of internet).
