I am unable to sign into a different account on the xbox app

Sorry about that. Let’s try some steps to isolate the issue. Kindly check if you can sign in to Ms store. Please open the Microsoft Store, then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. A pop-up box will appear allowing you to sign out then once signed out, kindly sign in again using your profile then open File Explorer using the Windows key + E shortcut.

In the address bar paste the following line:

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

If there are Accounts and Cache folders available make sure that you delete them. After removing the cache, try to start the Xbox app again.

I myself am experimenting. I have used my other Microsoft account on my Xbox App, and then make sure that on my default browser my main account is signed in.

When I click the "View order history" I was redirected to my main account even though I am signed in on my alternate account on the Xbox App.

Kindly try to sign out and then sign in using a different account on your Xbox App then test it out as well.

Hello Georges, thank you for replying to my question. Yes I have Windows 11 version 21H2. I unfortunately can't download the Xbox companion app due to the problem of being unable to sign into a Microsoft account on my computer. I am able to sign into my Microsoft account on the Xbox and Microsoft website its just the apps I have trouble signing in to.

Please go to Settings > Accounts > Your Info. Click "Stop signing into all Microsoft accounts automatically."

In the xbox app, anytime I try to sign in to xbox live, the app does nothing. I am unable to sign in to the xbox app. I know my MS acct credentials and I'm logged into the MS Store.
