I am unable to select crossplay on Deadside, even though crossplay is enable in the xbox...

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

You can simply sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and from there make sure that these settings are set to “allow” or “everyone”:

* You can join cross-network play

* You can see and upload community creations

* You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text

* Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites

* You can play with people outside of Xbox Live

* You can create and join clubs

* You can join multiplayer games

Make sure to hit “submit” when you made any changes.

After that, please perform a powercycle on your console.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

Sorry to hear about what happened. Since the issue keeps returning even if you had the right settings, try to remove your profile instead then power cycle your console before adding your account back to refresh your account and also clear the system cache.

Note: Before doing these steps, please make sure that you know exactly the email address that's linked to your gamertag and the password to it so you can add the correct account again.

1. Remove account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm. When you're finished, select Close.

2. Power cycle:
Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

3. Add account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select Enter.

Yeah I think you're right, it's a troubleshooting issue. I'll try the steps.

I don't think it worked. Every time I try to join a game, it's loads, but then kicks me back to the lobby

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings > Test NAT type.
Under Current Network Status, the NAT Type field displays your current NAT type

Please also test your connection and multiplayer if everything is good.

Your NAT type status must be Open so you won't experience issues with parties or multiplayer.
