I am unable to redeem a name your game card. It was purcased 10/21/2016

I am having the same problem. I an unable to find a way to redeem my 10 dollar gift card

So I called in and talked to a guy, he said it does show I upgraded to Live Gold today, but it's not letting me download the titles. He told me to go to search and type in the game name such as "Thief" and "Sacred 3" once I did this I was able to purchase
these games, at the discount price of free. In my subscriptions it show's I am xbox live gold until 12/21/2016

Think maybe it's a bug and just not fully updated or something?

on 13/10/2016 I got the game gears of war 4, and along with it comes the codes to access the previous games, but the code to gears of war 1 and 3 am unable to use, are not valid.

if it's any help I think I've found the log file in AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxApp_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\XboxLiveApp.log, which has the following errors:
