I am unable to open xbox game bar.

I want to record some clips but when I pressed windows + G, it did nothing. I went into settings then gaming, so I found out it was turned off but when I turned it on and tried again, it did nothing again then i restarted the settings so it got turned off

Please help.

Type in "registry editor" in windows search bar, right click and run as administrator.

We are going to check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\ (copy and paste)

Choose "GameDVR" from the right panel and change "AllowGameDVR" to 1.

If there isn't one:

Right click the empty area, choose "New" and then "Key"

Name it to GameDVR. It makes a new key / "folder".

Inside the GameDVR key, right click the empty area again, click "New" and choose "DWORD".

Name it to "AllowGameDVR". Double click it and set it to 1.

3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore (copy and paste)Double click "GameDVR_Enabled" and change it to 1.

4. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Double click on AppCaptureEnabled and set it to 1.

If that didn't work then try this:

Open the settings app.

Go to the apps section.

Click on xbox game bar.

Click on advanced options.

Scroll down and click on the reset button.

Try to open the xbox game bar and enable it.

No 3rd-party antivirus software. Followed that guide and with a clean boot and no 3rd party services Xbox Game Bar would still not open. Still unable to open the application.

This appears to be an easy error to fix.
Press Windows key + G on your keyboard to open the Xbox Game Bar.
Click the gear icon in the Xbox Game Bar sidebar to open settings.
Turn off "Open the Xbox Game Bar using the Xbox button on your controller or keyboard."
Once you have disabled the Xbox Game Bar, try deleting the game again and see if it now uninstalls correctly. If the game is removed without problems, you can turn Xbox Game Bar back on by following the same steps and reactivating the option you disabled.

Thank you for your help, however I am currently unable to access the minecraft launcher (it can't be opened/launched, is still showing up in the windows search bar, cannot be uninstalled).

Every time I try to download it again from other places (microsoft store application, minecraft installer application, minecraft launcher from the xbox store), I get an error and it tells me it is unable to install

I am unable to open xbox game bar.
