I am unable to download anything on my D drive

Before we proceed with troubleshooting steps, I'd like to ask a few questions to better understand the problem you're facing.
- May I ask what Windows version do you have?
- Is it only happening on Xbox Games? Or is it also happening for 3rd part games that you can download outside from Microsoft or Xbox.
- Can you download other file like pictures or videos?

The error code 0x80070005 is usually related to permission issues. It means that the user account you're using doesn't have the necessary permissions to perform the action you're trying to do. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:



2. Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter: This troubleshooter can help identify and fix issues with downloading apps from the Microsoft Store. To run the troubleshooter, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Windows Store Apps.



3. Reset the Microsoft Store cache: Sometimes, the Microsoft Store cache can become corrupted and cause issues with downloading apps. To reset the cache, open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type in the following command: wsreset.exe. This will clear the cache and restart the Microsoft Store.

4. Reset the Xbox app. To do this, follow the steps
- Go to Windows settings
- Go to Apps
- Select Installed Apps or Apps and features
- Search for Xbox app
- Select Advanced option

It still wont let me download anything to my D drive. even in the settings when I select the D drive i get no option to select a folder with it like I do with the C drive. I'm also on windows 10 if that has anything to do with it.

Hi Daniel, thank you for responding to my post. My current operating system is windows 10. I am unable to run windows 11 as I don't currently meet the system requirements. I completed the steps in the video (repair, reset, and troubleshoot), but unfortunately the troubleshooter didn't find any problems and I am still having issues downloading AOE III with the same error code. About deleting my games managed by Xbox, I am unable to delete the XboxGames folder or the game inside it (AOE III, half downloaded) as I don't have permission from the system. Also, the folder is on a D: drive, not an E: drive, if that helps.

im just re-downloading it for the 3rd time.

i chnaged the download location to my D drive and when i opened up the game, the file path said C:\user\me\appdata.....etc, but said the free space was 812GB. Thats not possible as my C drive isnt that big and that was my exact remaining space on my D drive.

keeping my fingers crossed i’ve not done anything wrong!
