I am unable to add UPI as Payment Method

Where are you from? Depending on your country, the ways to pay may vary, and sometimes, specific payment methods can be removed / not being accepted anymore.

However, in case you don't see listed this UPI service as a payment method, you may need to add a different way to pay.

If you're referring to the payment method UPI Unified Payments Interface adding on Microsoft account, I'm afraid this payment option is not available at the moment.

I highly suggest you report this through the feedback hub app where you can give suggestions directly to Microsoft to add UPI on the supported payment method list:

- Try using different browsers and devices.

- Try adding the payment method by adding the information completely in uppercase or completely in lowercase.

- Make sure the information matches the information you provided to your bank.

In case it does not work, you will have to wait 24 to 48 hours without trying to associate, after this time try again.

About being physically billed and issued in the same country, I'm not sure what that means but if it helps I did also try checking if the region on my account and pc were the same. The payment method I'm trying to add is Mastercard from my local bank billing to my local account (I haven't been out the country anyway so I don't think there's a problem there). My MS & PC account region is also the same/local.

I'm not sure if another payment method would work. My only options are card or Paypal and I can't use Paypal because I don't have any of the req. IDs to create an account on hand.
