    I am trying to update my Xbox controller but whenever I try to update it the controller...


    recently my Xbox controller will not remember my Xbox after I turn the controller off. I have to repair the controller every time I want to use it, it works perfectly until I'm done playing. I looked up my problem and it said to update my controller, so I did. I started first with my controller that works 100% of the time and the update went smoothly but once I tried my controller that was having trouble it didn't work. the light would fade in and out but not smoothly like my other controller, it looked like the light was "glitching". After that, the controller would just turn off and the update failed. I even tried direct connecting my controller to the Xbox via USB type C and it produced the same result. I have tried a battery pack where I can charge simultaneously and just some plain old regular AA batteries in case it was a low-battery problem, but it wasn't.

    I suggest you test by trying to update your controller using Windows 10 or Windows 11.

    Update your controller on Windows 10/11 by using the Xbox Accessories app:
    If you don't already have the app installed, get it in the Store:
    Microsoft Store
    Open the Xbox Accessories app.
    Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adaptor for Windows.
    When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.

    If your control is still within the legal warranty period in your country I suggest that you send your control to xbox technical assistance.

    There something wrong with my xbox one.

    Try to update your controllers via plugin them in with the usb cable to your xbox and than go to the update menu and look for controler update click it to check (even if there is no update this fixes sync problems with your controller)
    I try to get the upadte for my xbox one controllers. But there no update for it.
