I am on Xbox one Minecraft(it's bedrock edition) I have no option to enable crossplay

I can try to add people from PlayStation and it shows up BUT it just does a loading symbol when I press add friend and never does it. My settings dont have the cross player options like others and it doesn't show my Microsoft account at the left of my screen. My friends account shows up when I search them and shows their activity but the add friend button just won't work iv tried pressing it multiple times and it does the load symbol and stops without adding them

Java Edition you won't be able to purchase from Xbox. You will need to purchase it from Minecraft .net

If you mean the Bedrock Edition that is crossplay enabled between Windows 10, Xbox One, mobile and Nintendo Switch you will need to purchase the game for each platform.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Xbox One is available on Gamepass.

With regards to the settings of your account, have you also tried checking your privacy settings via website through https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/Settings/Home page?

On the page, make sure you sign in with the right account then click on the "Privacy & online safety" once you are on the page, click on the Xbox one tab and from there you can enable settings such as multiplayer settings.

If you are having trouble accessing the privacy page, it could be due to how your account was setup where the system is detecting your account as a minor. But let us know first how it goes or if there are any error messages when accessing it.

The Bedrock version of Minecraft is crossplay enabled for Windows 10, Mobile, Xbox One, VR and Nintendo Switch.

Realms is a mutliplayer server made for the Bedrock edition. There is different options for realms that determines how many people can play at the same time. Highest is 10 people excluding the owner. They are available 24/7 if the realm is payed for.

Its already on Xbox One with 2 versions. The Xbox One edition and then the Bedrock edition, which is crossplay enabled with Windows 10, mobile and Nintendo Switch.

Bedrock edition is the only one that will be updated in the future.

The insider program beta for Minecraft is for the newer version of the game. The Xbox One Edition of the game is no longer being updated. It was replaced with Bedrock version which is crossplay enabled between Windows 10, Xbox one, mobile and Nintendo
Switch.
