i am not getting sms from microsoft

Hi,

I submitted a request to change the phone number on my Microsoft account on March 20, 2025, and was told the change would take effect by April 21, 2025. The number appears to have updated around April 20, but I am still not receiving any security codes on the new number.

I've:

Verified that the new number is correct and active

Waited for the 30-day hold period

Checked for SMS filtering and signal issues

Could you please confirm that the new number is fully active for verification, and help ensure the code can be sent to it? I'm trying to complete an important account change and I'm currently stuck.

Good to know that you can receive other SMS messages. I don't what country you are in however it should be noted that sometimes a cellphone etc may not accept or be usable for international SMS senders (eg systems in the US, that may be why my FONGO VOIP
in Canada doesn't work for Twitter SMS from US).

If you still can't get an SMS from the Microsoft system then you should login to your Microsoft account and set alternative contact options (eg email address or call landline number with voice option).

Did the SMS include something such as "XBOX LIVE" or "MICROSOFT"? If not, then this charge is from something else...
