I am having syncing issues when i try to play Starfield on my ROG Ally, i am unable to get access to my save file from my console as it keeps saying there is a sycning issue everytime i try to load the game. It will only allow me to access an old save that i have on my ROG Ally. Is there a fix for this issue?

As of the Moment, Starfield is currently available on Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft Xbox App for PC, Cloud gaming, and Steam platforms. We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

What platforms is Starfield available on? - Bethesda Support

Though ROG Ally is running on Windows 11, it wasn't mentioned that it is available on the portable gaming PC.

I had the syncing thing when I was playing Starfield on my Xbox and ROG Ally, weirdly it was always when going from my Ally to my Xbox, not the other way around.

I eventually worked out what the issue was, I was switching off the Ally as soon as I stopped playing. What's I should have done was leave the Ally on for half an hour or so while it uploaded the save file to the cloud..

Perhaps that's the issue with you, the game knows there is an updated file, but cant access it because it wasn't uploaded fully. Perhaps turn on your old PC and let the save file upload.

It still doesn't work. On my rog ally it doesn't update and it stay on updating with 0% progress

I am not having a problem with in game saves.

Let me remind you that I am playing via Xbox Cloud. I do NOT have a console. I do NOT have a game installed on my computer.

When I try to play Starfield via Xbox Cloud, it informs me that there is a sync issue. Here is a screenshot:

The "TRY AGAIN" button does nothing, but "pretends" to check something for literally less than a second. The "SYNC LAST SAVED DATA" button will load a save that is hours out of date (i.e. it is an old save).

This has been happening for five days. The game is playable, but only as long as you are willing to play from an old save and replay large chunks of the game.

As I am playing via Xbox Cloud, I have no save data locally. My son has the same set-up as myself and is having the same issue. I cannot believe that other people playing Starfield via Xbox Cloud are not experiencing the same game destroying issue.

It should be clear that this is not a bug with Starfield, but a bug with Xbox Cloud.

I do not want any more apologies. I want the issue resolved.
