Hi there, If you have tried all the steps above provided by the Ambassador's also try and clear your cache.

To help improve gameplay, temporary files and data are often stored on your console. Over time, this cached data might become corrupted, which can lead to issues with connectivity, game freezes, or slow or unsuccessful game loads.

To to this go to Settings, Network, Network Settings, Advance Settings then Click Alternate MAC Address then click Clear.

Ha! I got a new error message now! I turned on 2 step verification again, to get an app password. I used this and now I am told that there is a problem with my credentials and that i need to go to my account online... which i did and there are no flags on
my account.

This might be the last straw for me and Microsoft Live...
