I am an adult, but my microsoft account is flagged as a childs account and i cant change it.

i created my microsoft account and accidently put 2007 in the birth year so now my account is flagged as a childs account , it didnt really bother me at the start but now that i play on xbox a lot, my actions are restricted and its very very annoying.
when i go to my microsoft account and try to change my info ( birthdate and so ) it asks what gender and what date what region and what postal code.
i am from israel , and my address is the same as the one in my microsoft account but when i fill in all the boxes (gender country and all that) when i fill in my postal code it says "Zip code is invalid. Please make sure you have entered the correct information" and i have checked in the israel post office website my postal code and its correct but yet i still get this annoying msg every time i want to change my date . how do i fix it??!

Unfortunately there isnt a fix.

Unless something has changed recently than even if you change the date of birth on your Microsoft account the xbox account side of things will still have you as a child until the date of birth you entered would have you as 18 or older so in this case in 2025.

There is no adult account for my child account so I cant change my child account setting. I want to purchase something but cant since i cant find my adult account. When i press on family, it only comes up with my child account.

I can't remember 100% but I am sure whoever set up the child account can change it. Like if you made an adult account on the xbox before making the child account that adult account can change wether the child account is a child account or and adult one.
I will just test this out myself now and post how it went

The only way is to create a new account as a child account. The birthday on Xbox.com is the one that cant be changed once it is set. So the adult account will stay an adult account. If you make a child account and the games are on his adult account. Set
the adult account as home, put a passkey on it so he cant log on it. Then the child account can use the gold and the games.
