- I don't pay by credit card!

- I got a bill with my credit card account???

I couldn't redeem the card either, getting XBOS-3014. I had to turn on auto-renew and update the credit card info, I then turned off auto-renew again and the prepaid card worked.

Hi same issue except i don't even have a credit card to begin with i've always used prepaid xbox cards. Any idea what to do? or should i try getting refund?

do you can buy xbox live credit by an retailer, then you don't need an credit card.

I'm getting the same error, but I didn't even use a credit card! That's right, I purchased my Game Pass subscription using PayPal. As far as I can see I never had a credit card attached to this account.

Considering this error is being shown to people whose credit card doesn't expire for another 3 years and to people who didn't even use a credit card... I'm going to guess that this notice bar is

Sure it can be hacked, someone just has to brute-force the password.

I don't get why a credit card would be tied to my gold status if I never actually bought gold with a credit card... I used prepaid cards, I didn't even HAVE a credit card on file until about a year ago. (And I've had Xbox Live Gold since 2009)
