    I added a whole new XBox account when trying to put my account on XBox live...


    I have an xbox account... named "X"

    i was trying to move X to an xbox live account. when doing this i got an error code, and i went online to see what it meant.

    i worked on it a bit, creating an xbox account via the online website and signed in on my xbox 360.

    now i have a whole new account that is on xbox live and has none of my data.

    is there some way i can make X an xbox live account while keeping my achievements and game data?

    Hi Nickolas,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue about making new account. You basically signed in with the wrong email and created a brand new account. You will need to use the
    account website and find the correct email, by logging in with different emails you know.

    Another way to fix this, if you know the gamer tag. You can request a call from support and have a support agent assist you.

    When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:



    • Step 1 ----select Xbox One
    • Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
    • Step 3-----select show contact options

      Step 4 ----select request call from support

    Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

    No. Nothing is transferable between accounts.

    Hello Nickolas,

    If I understand the post correctly, you have an offline Xbox 360 account that you wanted to set up for Xbox Live. Is this correct? If so, you would have had to convert this profile from the 360 console. It sounds like you now have 1 offline Xbox profile
    named "X" and another Xbox live profile you just created.

    One thing to keep in mind is that the Microsoft account you created now has a Gamertag. This means that you cannot use it to convert "X" into an online Xbox account. You would have to

    create a Microsoft account here     using a different email address. You can also make an outlook email on the spot to simplify the process.

    If you come across another error, let us know the exact code and message you receive. You may also want to unplug your network for a few minutes to let it refresh.
