I accidentally reported him because I was spectating him and the report was about him even though he did nothing wrong. Please do not ban him he did nothing wrong.

A report in game, will be handled by the developers of that game.

If you reported the individual via the Xbox report function and evidence is found of him breaking Xbox TOS, the ban will be unavoidable.

If you accidentally found a glitch you won't be banned, however if you choose to exploit it you may be reported for cheating. It's best if you avoid them in the future, if possible find the forums for the developer that makes the game and report the problem
in hopes of getting it fixed.

Don't worry about other players threatening to have you banned, they have no authority in such issues and are just talking big because they are angry. If they message you and persist with harassment, feel free to block communications with them.
