I accidentally left a cd case over the Xbox series x ventilation

Hi there,

if the console get's too hot it will automatically shutdown to prevent damage, since that didn't happen I don't think any harm was done to the console. Doesn't mean that it won't harm the console when it happens again, so best to prevent it in future ;-)

Pro tip keep electronics even off in well ventilated areas

I had a free Xbox 360 last over 10 years before ms offered me a free launch xbox one

Before I upgraded to the xbox one s during promo

Then I upgraded to one x and series x at launch

For warning sock drawers aren't ventilated

As my mother found out phones explode when batteries aren't charged for long periods same with e bikes and electric vehicles

Update:

1) Disk drive works, turns out i was putting the cd in with the top facing to the right (same way i put it in my xbox one s) and the correct way for the series x is pointing left. Should have noticed it earlier but i was silly

2) As for the monitor, no idea what caused it but i'll stay on the weaker monitor since that one isnt crashing with the series x plugs in.

I'm certain that I have only ever had my current account. But let's say that is the case. If I purchase a used CD Xbox One version of Horizon 4, is that going to be 30 FPS and look choppy on my Xbox Series X? Would I need to find a digital version that's optimized for Series S/X that someone has for sale? Where is the best & safest place to do that?
