I accidentally clicked console instead of cloud and now all my cloud data is gone

    I accidentally clicked console instead of cloud and now all my cloud data is gone


    I don't understand why that overwritten my cloud data. I was going to sync data on a game for my boyfriend he hasn't played in awhile. I click console instead of cloud and when I try to delete local saves which does say it's only local and cloud saves will be fine. I do that to try and get it to sync again. When I do sync again it now says the cloud data is the same as the consoles aka nothing. I don't understand how I overwritten his entire cloud data. Any way to retrieve. I can't believe I did this I feel horrible.

    know I have cloud saves as I switch between PC and Xbox. All gone now.

    is pretty much gone-zo unless it was auto-uploaded to the cloud WHILE the cloud was ACTIVE, correct?

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I am a gamer like you trying to help and guide other players and I'm sorry to hear that you accidentally deleted your NBA 2k25 saved data.

    There is no assurance that your data can be recovered because the step that you accidentally did is unrecoverable on a local data standpoint. You may try to see if you still have an available saved data from the cloud.

    Please note that this method will overwrite any local save data that you currently have on your console, so make sure to back up any local saves before restoring the cloud save.

    1. Open the game on your Xbox console.

    2. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    3. Select "My games & apps" and then select "See all" to view all your games.

    4. Find the game that you want to restore the cloud save for and press the menu button on your controller.

    5. Select "Manage game & add-ons" and then select "Saved data".

    6. Select "Cloud saves" and then select the saved data that you want to restore.

    7. Select "Download to console" to restore the cloud save to your Xbox console.

    If the cloud saves option is not showing, this means that your data is deleted in both console and cloud.
