    Hypersensitive LB button on Xbox One S controllers


    Hi, I have recently come across a problem that's affecting my gameplay.

    My LB button seems to be too sensitive. I noticed issues when playing FIFA and I couldn't defend since my players started switching randomly (Xbox One S). I thought it was a gameplay bug until I saw items were skipping on the Xbox dashboard and home menus. Then doing a scrolling test, I discovered it's LB that doesn't necessarily need to be pressed anymore to register an input. This started around 2 weeks ago.

    I stopped using that controller and have been using the other one till yesterday when I realized the same problem had arisen. Also, I checked that the original Xbox One's controllers work on the S okay, I just don't like the input latency so I refrain from using them.

    What is the causing the problem and how can it be fixed?

    According to the explanation you have provided, please make sure to follow the following steps in order to fix your issue.

    Please follow the the instructions on the link first:

    Update your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support

    In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

    Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    The last option would be for you to try and request a replacement for your controller from the microsoft website online.

    If nothing from the steps above help you resolve the issue please try to contact the Live Support in case you are the replacement is not successful from your side.

    Thanks for the response. I can confirm that the controllers have the latest firmware. I will proceed to reset the console and see if it helps.

    Xbox ONE controllers are poorly manufactured :(

    I'm not a fan of the Xbox one controllers. I hate the new style LB and RB buttons! : (

    Xbox controllers - Careless craftsmanship, or am I just extremely unlucky?

    I’ve noticed a problem on my controllers as well. I have had two s controllers and one original xbox one controller and after sometime the rb or lb buttons have broke. But I have dropped them few times so its not unexpected that something will break eventually.
    After all the controllers arent made out of steel so they will break if you keep dropping them.
