Could be an issue with the headset itself if even connecting the device directly to the PC doesn't work.

Just to cover this possibility, can you try using a different headset and test how it goes?

Or try using the headset on a different PC if possible and see if there works.

In the meantime, besides the troubleshooting steps described in your post. What else did you tried?

I plugged into the back in the headphone Jack. I didn't plug in the USB part. Does it need to be plugged in o thought it was only for the headphones light. If this doesn't matter. Is there a chat pad with a headphone mic port?

I have the same issuse. I can hear audio coming through but i cannot speak through it. I've tried other devices and it works fine. I've tried hard resetting the xbox, resyncing the controller, making sure everything isn't muted and connected properly but
nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Yes, we do have a chat pad or a
headset adapter. These both have a 3.5mm jack on them for headsets. In a lot of cases the adapter is needed for some third party headsets.

Also, you mentioned in the original post connecting to the Xbox, in the latter post you mentioned in the back with headphone jack. Are you trying to connect it to both the Xbox console and a PC? Is there multiple connections on the wire for the headset?
