    A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable

    The problem is caused by the Hughesnet HT1000 Satellite modem's web acceleration feature, which needs to be disabled.

    The answer can be found by searching for "Hughesnet Gen4 Error Code 80072746"
