How will you be able to play Starfield Premium Disk edition on early access?

You need to have a digital version, as the discs cannot be shipped to consumers by retailers for early arrival. There are major penalties for breaking street date

If you have GamePass, you could play without the disc but you would have to purchase the $30 premium pass to play on the September that already comes with the disc you ordered. There is no way to remotely "open the box"

I would determine which is more important to me, the physical disc, or playing early. I would recommend using the Xbox app to pre-load the game, that way you're updated and ready to go.

Having a look around forums, apparently someone else has been in contact with Amazon and said they will email codes out early to play early access however, I can't confirm personally.
