How will the xbox 360 store shutdown affect backwards compatibility?

I was wondering how the xbox 360 store will affect my ability to purchase backwards compatible games on the xbox one/series digitally. It's sad to see it go and I don't want it to go but we have to keep moving forward.

Backwards compatible games will still be offered in the store on the Xbox One consoles digitally. The store on the 360 console is what is shutting down.

Since Xbox 360 games are not backwards compatible with the Xbox One, even digital copies of 360 games, it is very unlikely that it will affect your One.

do you have a valid payment method stored onto your console ?

some people are having issues as they dont have that stored in and that can affect the download as its using the old system for the 360 with the backwards compat.

if not just purchase it on a 360 and then download it on the one in games and apps.

Yes you did, but the backward compatible game uses the same xbox 360 servers, which if they were slowing down 360 users, then it would affect Xbox One users too.
