How to use a picture from my phone as a background for my Xbox?

I just use a picture from my computer as my background.

I updated my console last night you have to download the Media Player Preview app on XBL it's about 42MB big. At least they added another missing Xbox Live Feature from Xbox 360. I like how you can play videos and view pictures by connecting what you want
from your PC to your Xbox 1 using a USB device. You can also transfer pictures from your computer to your Xbox 360 this way and then use one of the pictures from the USB as your Xbox 360 Dashboard background. I took some 4k photos while my family was on holiday
almost 2 years ago and used it as my Xbox 360 Dash background. I hope they add the ability to change the Dash background really soon.

It won't let me change my profile picture, and no matter how many times I try it won't accept any of my pictures on my phone at all, I've been trying and trying, but I can't insert my picture for my profile on the xbox app on my phone, how can I
fix it or try to at least?

The service is currently disable as of the moment. Here's the message coming from the folks at Xbox.

" As people look to gaming for social connection, Xbox is seeing record numbers across Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live, and Mixer. To streamline moderation and ensure the best experience for the community, Xbox has made small adjustments. Some features like uploading
custom gamerpics, club pics, and club backgrounds are temporarily disabled."

Here's the link for the information on how you would add background images on your Xbox One. The issue may be related to the file format from the pictures on your phone.
