How to unlink a MS account from a PS account

Some users on the internet say that this process cannot be done since PlayStation does not allow it anymore, however you can try these steps:

1. Visit account.microsoft.com and click “Privacy.”
2. Select “Apps & Services” and then “Manage Apps & Services.”
3. You will see a list of apps and services that are linked to your Microsoft account. Find the app or service that is linked to your PlayStation account and click “Remove Access.”
4. Confirm that you want to remove access.

If you cannot access your Microsoft account for some reason or another, then it is necessary to submit/fill out the account recovery form in order to gain access again.

I linked my old Microsoft account with my PlayStation account a few years ago and I now don’t have access to the account, I can’t link a new account with my PS account as I don’t know the password and the phone number listed on there is my old one - help would be appreciated

Even if you could unlink the account you wouldnt be able to link a different one.

Note: Once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PlayStation® account, neither the Microsoft account nor the PlayStation™ Network account can be associated with a different account. 

If you choose to unlink accounts, then purchases will be returned to the account which made the purchase. Even after unlinking, Microsoft and PlayStation® accounts can only be re-linked to the original account.

Hi, wanted to ask, since i cant relink my microsoft account with another psn.Would it be possible for me to delete the account completely and make a new microsoft account with the same email, then link it to another psn? this is for minecraft services .

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. You would not be unlinking a PS account from your Microsoft account, you would be unlinking the Microsoft account from your PS account. So, you may need to do this either from your PS settings, your PS account settings
or from within Minecraft itself.

If you haven't already, try contacting PS support for further support. Also, take a look at this

"Minecraft for PS4 FAQ". It does state that there may be complications with unlinking the account.
