    How to undigitize a collection/ make the game require a disc


    Recently I've been trying to convert my (mostly digital) game collection to a physical one, but I noticed an oddity when I go to install. My process is to uninstall the digital version, and install with a disc version so that the disc is needed for future playing. But sometimes it'll still allow me to play without the disc and I'm wondering;

    Why is this?

    Is there some way I can make it so it requires the disc?

    For an example I first bought Star Wars Knights of the old republic, and Star Wars republic commando digitally. But after doing my process. Old republic needs the disc, but commando doesn't

    Xbox series s

    the disc is required for the licence, there is no way to convert them, if you have a large disc collection then the series x is what you require, the series s is designed for entry level and those that use digital only.

    My Opinion, Just Disappointed

    Elite, the cloud still works the same way if you are using a digital copy. Go to a friends house log in and bam your collection is there, however, any that you didn't buy digitally will require the disc to be present. Order all your games online, and your
    collection is available as stated.

    I still like discs anyway, even though we have to install them, at least it makes the game load faster. Discs are still great for collecting and faster installation

    Anyways looking forward to both, HD collection in particular, is there any info on how many disc the HD collection will ship in? two discs or one?

    I am having the same issues. Nothing will download all the way.

    My disc version of Mortal Kombat is trying to update, Installation stopped

    Same with my DMC Devil May Cry disc version.

    Also happening on my Master Chief Collection.

    I understand those are disc games and some require the disc to be in the drive and I haven't had time to get the discs out to update. But my digital Forza game is having the same issues and there's no disc involved with that one.
