How to turn off remote shut off function for anyone but me (Xbox one)

Did not know this was possible will have to make sure my partner doesn't find out about it

From my understanding, both the Xbox and phone have to be connected to the same network for this to work. Change your wifi password!lol

but in all serisousness if you go into the settings you can change it so that the Xbox app (which I'm assuming is what she is using to turn off your Xbox) can't be used to connect to the console, and I believe you can set it to only the account signed in,
or on the Xbox, but I'm not 100% sure of this.

I didn't know this was an option on the console. Do you possibly have a smart outlet that she is controlling? If so, find another outlet to plug the console into. Easiest fix is to hide her phone and any hammers or power tools that she might be able to
get her hands on. Another option is to hold something that she likes ransom. Just Kidding, that wouldn't probably end well if this is how she already acts when she is mad. Best of luck finding a new girl friend. LOL
