How to turn off party chat on tv without having headphones

I got them connected to tv, but when i connect microphone the speakers turn off, and i dont want to use headset

Your TV speakers turn off when you connect a microphone?

It might be, that you have set your audio settings to use headphone sound, whenever a headset is connected.

Go to the settings under Display and Sound, and turn off the option to have the sound output to the headphones.

Then you should be able to have a microphone connected to the controller, without the sound from the TV going out.

it depends who is hearing the echo.

if you are hearing an echo then it is most likely that someone else in your party has their mic gain too high and has party chat through their TV or too loud in their headphones. check whose name shows when you hear the echo.

In your settings see if you have the party chat set to playing from your TV AND headset. Besides that turn off your TV volume if you're playing with a headset on.

One thing I just tried was turning off my kinect as a microphone. At first my party chat was only through the tv and once I turned it off it was head set only. Go settings and select kinect, and then turn it off as a microphone for chat. I hope that helps

Disconnect the battery and the chat adapter. Reconnect battery and re sync to the xbox. Check is there are any updates for the controller. If so, updated. If not, turn the controller off. Then connect the chat adaptor and then the headphones. Turn controller
on.

Also try doing this with the controller connected by USB to the XBOX.

You can also maunally mute unmute your headset in the party chat settings.
