    How to troubleshoot hdmi output.


    My situation is a different. The port is fine, there’s not much issue with it. There is no signal to my tv though. The port looks fine but the cable wiggles a small bit. And my xbox connected to 2 different TVs before not connecting to the one in my room? Is there a software fix?

    I am sorry to hear that.

    Please, try power cycling the console and TV.

    To do it, follow these steps:

    Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    Unplug the console's power cable. Do the same with your TV.

    Wait 60 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait at least 60 seconds.

    This step resets the power supply.

    Plug the console power cable back in. Do the same with your TV.

    Turn on your TV.

    Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    Hi, try changing the HDMI output option from Auto Detect to HDMI, then go back to the video output menu and try selecting 1080p. If the HDMI output is already set at HDMI then try changing that to Auto Detect.

    This is how my setup goes. I have the HDMI from my cable box going to the HDMI input on the Xbox one. Then I have the HDMI output from the Xbox one going to the HDMI game input on my receiver. Then I have the HDMI output from the receiverrunning the TV.

    The only thing I can think of is make sure the receiver is set to the correct input.

    You can connect your Xbox One S to your PC using the HDMI (IN) output, this is not possible on a laptop because it only has an HDMI (OUT) output.
