How to transfer money out of child account?

Try refunding it from their microsoft account online. Worst case scenario use that money from their account to gift games to your main account. You main account will own it. Also, you can put a password in so that in order to confirm a purchase you have
to enter a password so they wont "accidentally" buy something as i probably would if i was a kid, lol.

you can indeed transfer money from a parental account to a child account, can be done accidentally too, not sure if there is a way to transfer back as child account cannot transfer money.

This is exactly what happened to me! I transferred money from my Paypal to my child's Microsoft account for this, and now the money are locked there? Unbelievable! How do I get my money back?
