How to transfer data from old Xbox one S to new Xbox one S

I’ve got an Xbox One S that won’t stay on, keeps rebooting itself. So I bought a new one and would like to find out how my data can be transferred from the old to the new? It doesn’t stay on long enough to check if “allow network transfer” is enabled in settings, but the new one says “no local network consoles found”. Thanks for any help!

unfornatuly it will not work with the new xbox s console what you will have to do is buy the transfer cable available from xbox and transfer it that way and if you have more than 4gb of stuff on the old hdd you may need a bigger hard drive as well that
work with the xbox s console that is if you want all your data from the old hdd to the new

I had my old xbox 1 s cd brake down. I want to transfer all my data,mods to. Onto my new xbox 1. How?

Outside of a network transfer, you can just sign into the same account on the new console and re-install everything. Your saves will resync once you start a game.

If you were using an external hard drive on the old console, you can also just hook that up to the new one and sign into your old account and you won't have to re-install anything.

What I have decided to do is buy a new xbox-s Horizon 4 edition.

It will arrive tomorrow afternoon.

The one I have now is 4 or 5 years old.

Time for a new one.

Now is the time to score one while they are on sale.

Maybe you could suggest how to transfer all of my data from old to new?
