    How to take over my Microsoft account?


    Okay I'll do my best to concise this down a bit. Back when I was a kid Microsoft released Xbox Live, this was a time before I even had my own email. Fast-forward to today I am now grown and have put several hours and money into my Xbox Live account. When I originally made the account I needed to sign up using my Mom's email. Now when I try to sign in, I can't even use a new email and password as it always sends some kind of code to my Mom's email. As you can imagine this is more than a little frustrating. When I go to edit the info of the account I find I can add my email but upon removing any other email I am warned it will be deleted? This is perturbing because I have no desire to have anyone's email attached to my account but can not remove these extra email addresses due to the info being permanently deleted. Is there really no way for Microsoft to allow my to take over this account with my email and passwords and just cut my Mom and this 2 factor nonsense out of the equation?

    Sorry to say but unfortunately nope :c
    If you delete the alias associated to your Microsoft account, it’s going to be deleted permanently and the email received and sent with that account are going to be deleted as well

    Hi zbarnes68, for what i know, you can't merge an account or a subscription from an account to another. And a gamertag too. After, you can just
    buy an Xbox live Gold or Game Pass sub and offer the sub as gift by email to the account of your child. Like that, no card on the account of his mother.
