How to switch bumper on elite series 2 controller?

I have an elite series 2 controller and the bumper only works half the time! Its super annoying and i want to buy a replacement but i dont want to break my controller. Any chance theres an easier way or i could get shown how?

I'm sorry to here that sadly I had my elite series 2 controller do the same thing, it started with the x button and then the bumpers, I noticed stick drift of both the sticks, sadly when I went to the store to exchange it for another one they had no
elite series 2 controllers in stock, I switched to the Razer wolverine ultimate edition and so far its a great controller

I tried to fill out repair order, but, as mentioned above, those are the only options i got.

Bumper IS a known issue, as you can see.

Btw., it doenst matter what caused 2 years warranty, it is in place and i'm in the right to use it.

Hi, i would strongly advice to give your controller to a certified service. You can use the

Hardware Support and see what you can further do. Hope it helps.

So you can purchase bumpers online and do it yourself. Watching a youtube video will break it down for you. I do not recommend it though because it could void an active warranty. Also I would rather have a certified professional do it since if they mess
it up they will become responsible

Used elite first gen for years and just got good at replacing broken bumpers. I had high hopes for the elite 2 but sadly my elite 2 right bumper clicks but doesnt register input most of the time after only 2 months.

submitted warranty claim, and will have them replace it - but even though i prefer the feel of the sticks and triggers on the msft controller, i am switching to razor wolverine.

not matter how good it feels if a contoller doesnt control, its worthless.
